Bolo Bolo: The Western Jewel Scandinavia Didn't Know It Needed
Bolo Bolo was founded by Emil Willerup after a trip to Idaho to visit family — where he first heard the true story of the bolo tie. Inspired, he returned to Denmark and began teaching himself the craft. What started as a single handmade piece became our very first bolo tie, and it remains the foundation of our collection today.
At Bolo Bolo, we honor the origins of the bolo tie, keeping our designs as close as possible to how they looked before the Western era transformed them. Each tie features tips inspired by the points of a sheriff’s star, while the fastener is stamped with a radiant sun symbol — drawn from the Zia people and their deep reverence for life.
And carrying that reverence forward, Bolo Bolo opens the door for a new generation — individuals who find themself rooted, aligned, and true to the DNA that defines them.
The bolo tie is back.
